Intensive Therapy
for Couples & Families

CHAPTER INTENSIVES
At Chapter, I specialize in helping our clients restore and improve their relationships. I offer traditional therapy sessions, and in-person or remote intensive programs for California and Colorado residents.

The in-person intensives are fully private and designed for one couple or family at a time, creating a dedicated environment for focused work. Most in-person intensives are scheduled over one to two days, allowing you to step away from daily responsibilities and fully engage in the process.

Remote intensives are available for California and Colorado residents and follow the same structure through secure video sessions. These are typically scheduled across two to three weekdays and offer flexibility for couples/families balancing work, childcare, or other constraints.

Couples and families are often drawn to this format because it creates uninterrupted time to focus on their relationship without the usual pressures of daily life. It allows for solution-focused work around what is happening in the here and now. Intenstives allow focus on what needs to change, in a shorter timespan than traditional therapy, and provides a strong foundation for continued work, if desired.

INTENSIVE THERAPY

A Different Way to Start (or Restart)

Intensive therapy is a structured way to create meaningful progress in a shorter period of time.

Individuals, couples, and families can also use this format to kickstart work before beginning weekly sessions, to accelerate progress that feels stuck, or to gain clarity before making important decisions. Rather than spreading conversations over months, this approach creates a concentrated space to understand what is happening in your relationship and begin shifting it with intention and care.

This format is well suited for couples who feel stuck in recurring patterns, that may be navigating a rupture in trust or communication, or who feel increasingly disconnected. It can also be a strong fit for couples who want a more focused approach than traditional pacing, or for those already in therapy who want to go deeper and move forward with more clarity.
HOW it works

What you will experience

Over the course of one to three days, you will work through a structured process designed to help you understand your relationship dynamics and address unresolved tensions.

The goal is not just insight, but progress. Couples typically leave with a clear understanding of their patterns, a stronger sense of connection, and practical tools they can continue to use. The work is guided and intentional, allowing you to make meaningful progress in a contained period of time.

The two day intensive is the most common format and takes place on Friday and Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm each day. The first day focuses on understanding your relationship patterns and identifying the dynamics that keep you stuck. The second day focuses on communication tools, integration, and building a path forward.

The three day intensive extends from Thursday through Saturday with the same daily schedule. This format allows for deeper work, particularly for couples navigating more complex or long standing challenges.

Follow-up sessions are available after the intensive for couples who want continued support or a smoother transition into ongoing therapy. We can also coordinate with your current therapist if you are already working with one.
